What’s Happening?
One of NASCAR’s staple track is Charlotte Motor Speedway. The industry’s home is a great place for camping, just like any other track on the schedule. Here is everything to expect from NASCAR’s official camping notebook.
- Charlotte Motor Speedway has been on the Cup Series schedule since 1960. The track is considered the home of NASCAR due to many teams being based in Charlotte, N.C.
- Charlotte hosts two Cup Series races per year. In 2018, the moved the second date to the Charlotte Roval, which has remained since.
- Fans love camping at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The home for NASCAR in a big market that has something for everyone!
Amenities & Highlights
Fans who camp in Charlotte can expect some of the typical camping amenities and a few more obscure ones.
Full hook-up camping is available at the track. Dry camping and power-only camping is available as well. Campground sizes range from rom 15×40 to 30×50 with paved, grass and gravel surfaces depending on where fans are camping.
Those parts of the Camping World Racing Resort have access to power, water, and sewer. Those who don’t have access can use the bathrooms and showers at the race track along with dump stations. In addition, Free WI-FI is available throughout the Camping World Racing Resort.
Charlotte also has a volleyball court along with a large playground for other activities. Pets are permitted in addition to a business center with access to internet, phone, and printing. There is also a Covered pavilion for club/social gatherings.

Campground Details
When camping at Charlotte Motor Speedway, fans can appreciate all the activitiesAn a to do around the campgrounds, however there is a lack of an overnight party atmosphere. Campgrounds have a “Quiet time” from 12 a.m. to 7 a.m.
An admission ticket is not required for entry.
