What’s Happening?

The NASCAR National Series is back on track at Bristol Motor Speedway after the Cup Series took Easter weekend off. So, whether you are going to be at the track or home, what does the forecast look like for the race weekend in Bristol, Tennessee?

  • Bristol Motor Speedway is one of NASCAR’s most iconic venues, with the 0.533-mile track serving as a staple of the sport’s short track schedule. Historically, the track has hosted at least two NASCAR race weekends a season, aside from other specialty events, since its 1961 opening.
  • Over the years, Bristol has hosted the NASCAR Cup Series as its main event during its two race weekends. Though it has a deep history with the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, dating back to 1982, and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, dating back to 1995.
  • Bristol has had decent luck with the weather in the past few seasons. Of course, this doesn’t mean that cold weather hasn’t factored into the track’s events, with the 2024 spring race still fresh on the minds of fans and drivers.
