What’s Happening?

Landen Lewis, the 2025 CARS Tour Late Model Stock champion, will race part-time with Niece Motorsports during the 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season.

Lewis, 19, is coming off a solid season in the CARS Late Model Stock Tour racing for Kevin Harvick Incorporated. In 15 races, he scored four wins and won the series championship by 12 points over JR Motorsports’ Connor Hall.

Now the California native turns his attention to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with Niece Motorsports in 2027.

Per the announcement, Lewis will be the “anchor driver” for one of Niece’s 2026 entries, meaning he is part-time but will drive the truck for the majority of the season.

During an interview with Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour Podcast, Lewis claimed the deal is for 15 races and that he will continue to enter late model stock races with KHI.

Next season will not be Lewis’ debut racing on a national level, as he has already made starts in the ARCA Menards Series and the Truck Series at the national level.

In six career ARCA starts, Lewis has one career win at DuQuion in 2021. He also has three career Truck Series starts spread across 2023 and 2024, with Lewis finishing no better than 24th in these three starts.

Niece has yet to announce which number Lewis will drive in 2026, although there are plenty of options available after a turbulent season for the team.

Niece Motorsports 2025

This year, Niece planned to enter the three full-time drivers, Matt Mills, Christian Rose, and Kaden Honeycutt.

Mills is the only driver remaining from these plans. Rose did not race full-time in 2025, as he was yet to race for Niece after sponsorship troubles prevented him from competing. Meanwhile, Honeycut was released by Niece this summer after signing with a new OEM and team for 2026.

The team is also dealing with a shift of majority ownership, with businessmen Josh Morris, Greg Fowler, and the Fowler family taking over the ownership structure.
