What’s Happening?
On Tuesday morning, Front Row Motorsports announced that Todd Gilliland will drive with a new number starting in 2025. He will take over the No. 34 Ford Mustang that was previously driven by Michael McDowell, who is now signed with Spire Motorsports. Love’s Travel Stop will sponsor Gilliland, continuing their longtime sponsorship with the team and the No. 34 car.
Front Row hasn’t confirmed the numbers for Noah Gragson, who signed with the team in the summer, and the expanded third car. There is no confirmation on a third driver, but Zane Smith is still the leading candidate. The team hasn’t announced a crew chief for Gilliland as well, with a lineup still TBD.
Gilliland is coming off his best season in the Cup Series. The 24-year-old matched his career high in top-10s while setting new career bests in average finish (20.9), laps led (130), and points finish (22nd). As the team enters its new “Tier One” status with Ford, many can expect more from Gilliland as he looks to lead FRM starting in 2025.
