What’s Happening?
In every new NASCAR season, legends of the sport add to and break statistical milestones such as race wins or poles. This season will be no different, as some names have a chance to move up in the stat book while some younger driver has a chance to print their name in the book for the first time. Here are some statistical milestones to look out for during the 2025 NACAR Cup Series season.
- This list consist exclusively of NACAR Cup Series drivers alongside stats from the National Series Records. These stats come directly from NASCAR’s National Series Record book, ensuring their accuracy.
- Some of these records will be broken, while others will likely see drivers move up on their list this season. Other records are already broken, and we will highlight what these could look like at the season’s end.
Records Through All-Three National Series:
Combined Total National Series Starts: Kyle Busch: 2nd 1,256 Starts
Kyle Busch makes his first appearance on this list under a section in which he is the all-time winner. However, there is one stat he does not have from this category: total starts in all three NASCAR National Series.
However, we are placing him on the watch to become the all-time leader. Busch, who has 1,256 starts, currently trails all-time leader Kevin Harvick, who has 1,299, by 43 starts. In the past, it would seem likely he would break this year. However, Busch has stepped back from his part-time calendar at Xfinity and Trucks.
If he makes all 36 NASCAR Cup Series races this season, Busch will be at 1292, meaning he would have to make seven other National Series starts to tie and eight to break Harvick’s record. Last season, Busch made a combined six starts in those series. While it does not seem like he will break it this season, he more than likely will be No. 1 shortly into 2026.
Combined Total National Series Wins: Kyle Busch: 1st, Brad Keselowski: 12th , Denny Hamlin: 13th, and Joey Logano: T-15th
If there is one stat KFB is No. 1 in, it is National Series Wins, with 231 to Richard Petty’s 200. Busch added to this with two Truck Series wins last season. However, it was the first time since 2005 that he did not add a Cup Series win to the list.
The closest drivers to Kyle are Brad Keselowski, Denny Hamlin, and Joey Logano, who are in 12th, 13th, and tied for 15th. Keselowski has 76 to Hamlin’s 74, meaning there could be a change there, as the next driver is Cale Yarborough, who has 83.
Logano will more than likely break his tie with Matt Kenseth for 15th, then will set his sights on 14th-ranked Carl Edwards with 72 wins.
NASCAR Cup Series:
All-Time Top-Tens: Kyle Busch: 8th, and Denny Hamlin 14th
Both Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin are likely to move up the all-time top-tens list in 2025.
Hamlin, who currently has 358, is within three of 13th place Terry Labonte and within eight of 12th place David Pearson. It would take Hamlin 16 top-tens this season; he had 18 last season to break into the top ten, with 17 top-tens leaving him ninth.
Busch is unlikely to move past two places in 2025, as his next goal is seventh. Currently, at 382 top-tens, Busch trails Darrell Waltrip for that spot by eight top-ten finishes. Sixth is statistically impossible for Busch in 2025, as he trails Dale Earnhardt by 46.

All-Time Top-Fives: Kyle Busch, 10th, and Denny Hamlin, 12th
In 2025, both Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin will have a chance to move up on the NASCAR Cup Series all-time top-five list.
Hamlin currently sits 12th at 234 top-fives, and Buck Baker is next with 245, which Hamlin can realistically reach in 2025. Kevin Harvick is tied for tenth with Kyle Busch at 251. When Busch passes Harvick this season, Hamlin will need 17 top-fives to break into the top ten.
When Busch, hopefully, passes Harvick, his next target will be eighth-place Cale Yarborough, who has 255. However, Busch’s reach for the top seven in 2025 seems unlikely, as seventh place Mark Martin has 271 top-fives.

Consecutive Years With a Win: Joey Logano: 13 Years, T-11
Following Kyle Busch’s miserable end to his record-setting 19-year winning streak, only one driver is on this list in a noteworthy way.
Joey Logano’s current 13-year streak began with a win at Pocono in 2012 with Joe Gibbs Racing and has continued since with these wins:
- Texas, 2014
- Daytona 500, 2015
- Michigan, 2016
- Richmond, 2017
- Talladega, 2018
- Las Vegas, 2019
- Las Vegas, 2020
- Bristol Dirt Race, 2021
- Darlington, 2022
- Atlanta, 2023
- Nashville, 2024
If he wins this year, Logano will break his three-way tie with legends Cale Yarborough and Lee Petty, then enter a tie with Jeff Gordon for tenth. If he does not win, the longest-running streak will be Denny Hamlin’s six straight seasons with a win.

Consecutive Starts: Martin Truex Jr. 6th and Joey Logano 15th
This year, the longest active start streak will end if Martin Truex Jr. makes the Daytona 500 with TRICON Garage. Truex currently has 684 starts, good for sixth, where he will remain if he does not make the 500.
Joey Logano, however, will make up a lot of ground in 2025 if he starts all 36 NASCAR Cup Series races. Currently in 15th with 576 consecutive starts, if he starts every race in 2025, Logano will be at 612.
This will move Logano up to 13th, passing 14th-place Ken Schrader (579) and 13th-place Jamie McMurray (581). Logano will be nine starts behind his mentor, 12th-place Mark Martin (621).
