Q&A With Up-and-Coming Driver: Carson Kvapil: p. 8

Jared Turner sat down with the new face of JR Motorsports No. 1, Carson Kvapil. Carson is the son of former NASCAR regular Travis Kvapil. After a long time racing in the CARS Tour with JRM, Kvapil is the latest member of the Xfinity Series’ most popular team.

Jared asks Kvapil about his upcoming Rookie of the Year campaign, his legendary run racing late models, and his relationship with his dad.

NASCAR’s Best Drivers by Track Type: pp. 18-20

This article was a pleasure for me to write. It highlights who might be the ones to look out for week in and week out. With the NASCAR schedule growing evermore diverse in 2025, these drivers had something to prove in 2024.

This statistic-based list includes those who you’d expect to be good, such as Michael McDowell at superspeedways, and those you might not think about, such as RFK Racing’s Chris Buescher on Road Courses last season.

25 Things to Watch for in 2025: pp. 26-41

Another one that took some time for me to write was this article covering the 25 most important topics of 2025. While the article took a lot of hard work, being given the opportunity to cover what looks to be a historical season in NASCAR history made it all worth it.

Of this list, there are driver changes, rule changes, format changes, and schedule changes. It also addresses the big questions, like who could retire at season’s end and how the new playoff schedule could affect the championship race.

A Passionate Fandom: How NASCAR Fans Show Their Fandom: pp. 48-50

The last one, written by yours truly, is a deep dive into the many ways that fans express their fandom of NASCAR. It was a pleasure to seek out and find these individuals who have taken their NASCAR fandom to the next level.

This list includes collectors, tailgaters, artists, content creators, and, yes, even one active NASCAR driver. This article shows that while the sport is changing, the NASCAR fanbase is as alive as ever.

When Coach Joe Gibbs Calls… Chase Briscoe Is First Free Agent to Come Off The Board: pp. 52-53

One of the most significant changes for 2025 will be Chase Briscoe’s move to what once was Martin Truex Jr.’s No. 19. This move will give a young driver who had a rough start to his Cup Series career, much like Truex, a shot at making it big.

Dustin Albino sat down with Chase to cover just how he found his way to JGR and his hopes for the season. Whether you’re a Bass Pro Shops customer, a Briscoe or Truex fan, or a JGR loyalist, this is an absolute MUST READ for this issue.

Harrison Burton: Something to Prove: pp. 54-55

Shortly before he won big at Daytona Wood Brother’s Racing, he announced the departure of second-generation talent Harrison Burton. After a few tough seasons in NASCAR’s top division, Harrison is headed back to the Xfinity Series.

Jared Turner had a chance to catch up with the driver and talk about his upcoming season. Faced with a new home at AM Racing, Burton is entering this season with “Something to Prove.”
