The Craziest Early Season NASCAR Surprises

The beginning of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season has been full of surprises. From Joey Logano struggling to Ty Gibbs impressing, Eric Estepp looks at the biggest surprises of the 2024 season on Out of the Groove.

• NASCAR’s TV ratings for Bristol were released. Surprising or not, NASCAR was happy to see another increase for the Bristol race, and Eric looked at all the factors that went into the rating increase.
• Eric looks at the drivers who were pleasantly surprised and those who were unpleasantly surprised in 2024. Eric feels this is the first checkpoint of the season after the variety of tracks in the last few races.
• Eric does not limit this list to the Cup Series. He also looks at how the lower series drivers have performed as well.
