Suspensions and Charters and Tires Oh My

• Earlier this week, Steve O’Donnell said that NASCAR and the owners are pretty close to getting to an agreement. Almost immediately after, Denny Hamlin and other owners denied that completely. Do developing stories like this make you feel like the charter agreement is close to being signed?
• Denny Hamlin offered some valuable thoughts on his podcast this week, explaining that the left-side tires need to wear more since loads are significantly lower on the left sides than they were in the previous Gen Six car. Do you think more left-side tire wear will make enough of a difference to improve short tracks?
• All of these new short track ideas are coming after last week when NASCAR committed to not adding horsepower or making any aerodynamic changes. Rather, they have decided to focus solely on the tire. Do you like that NASCAR is focused on the tire or should they still be trying everything they can?
