What’s Happening?
Following the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, Ryan Ellis will leave Alpha Prime Racing, his longtime team. He is heading to DGM Racing and will stick with Chevrolet in 2025.
- Ryan Ellis is a veteran of the NASCAR Xfinity Series. The 34-year-old debuted in the Xfinity Series in 2012. Since then, he has made scattered starts in all three NASCAR National Series for multiple teams.
- Ellis earned his first full-time NASCAR National Series ride last year with Alpha Prime Racing. In one part-time and two full-time seasons with Alpha Prime, Ellis has no top-fives or top-tens, but deeper statistics show that he is improving.
- Ellis is heading to DGM Racing next season. DGM has two full-time cars, one driven by several Chevrolet drivers and another mostly driven by Kyle Weatherman. Since 2014, DGM has had three top-fives and 41 top-tens. However, since 2020, DGM has continued to grow those statistics.
- Both Ellis and DGM are growing statistically, and perhaps this new pairing will only continue that growth. As a benefit to DGM, Ellis is bringing sponsorship from Classic Collision.
In a statement from DGM Racing, team owner Mario Gosselin said:
“We are thrilled to welcome Ryan to our family and looking forward to advancing our Xfinity program together. Solidifying next year’s season this early on is huge for our small team.” — Mario Gosselin
