Rumor Mill: Top Short Track Racers Set to Compete in Ram’s NASCAR TV Show

What’s Happening?

This week, rumors have swirled that Ram and Kaulig Racing are filming their long-rumored TV show, but the question remains: who are the drivers involved in this show?

In July, a report from Adam Stern of Sports Business Journal reported that Ram Trucks was considering a reality TV show to help fill out their lineup for the OEM’s 2026 return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

This concept is not new, as RFK Racing, formerly known as Roush Racing, utilized it in their 2005 show, Roush Racing: Driver X. Following that formula, the winner, an experienced racer at the grassroots level, would presumably get a shot in top-tier equipment with Ram in 2026.

Since this rumor, fans have been able to piece together what the brands’ return to NASCAR will look like in 2026.

For example, unlike speculation from earlier this season, the OEM will have just one five-truck team through Kaulig Racing.

Shortly after Ram and Kaulig announced their partnership, rumors began to circulate that one or even two of the trucks in that fleet could be dedicated to the winner, or winners, of this reality TV show.

As of press time, Kaulig has three full-time drivers signed for the 2026 season: Brendan ‘Butterbean’ Queen, Daniel Dye, and Justin Haley.

Despite a growing roster and persistent rumors that the team could announce yet another full-time driver, most still expect the brand to utilize the fourth and fifth trucks as an “All-Star “truck and/or as a truck dedicated to the TV show’s winner/winners.

This week, online conversations and hints from Kaulig brass suggest that these rumors are being fulfilled, with several short-track insiders, such as Matt Weaver, joking about drivers missing from short-track events this week.

While Kaulig and Ram have not confirmed this directly, one question remains: if this show is finally happening, who are some of these names involved in the process?

Who’s Who?

One rumor circulating through the NASCAR community on Friday originated from the well-known nascarumornostalgia Instagram account, which listed some potentially included drivers.

These names include dirt late model racer Carson Ferguson, as well as late model names like Landon Huffman and 2019 CARS Late Model Stock Rookie of the Year Mini Tyrell.

The account also listed some names NASCAR fans may be familiar with, like Conner Jones and Carson Brown, who made his ARCA Menards Series East debut earlier this year.

If the event were happening this week/weekend, it is worth noting that both Brown and Jones are entered in the all-American 400 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, though it is possible that the show could be scheduled around such events.

This is, of course, just a rumor and far from a comprehensive list of drivers involved. Still, there are some notable absences, such as former JR Motorsports late model driver and fan favorite Connor Hall, whom Earnhardt confirmed in September is seeking a ride in the Craftsman Truck Series.

While fans are still holding out hope that their favorite grassroots racer will be on the show, they will have to wait for an announcement to confirm who will be involved.

Kyle Busch’s Controversial Last Lap Move | Hamlin Defends Herbst | NASCAR Power Rankings!

Denny Hamlin defends Riley Herbst, Brad Keselowski is furious, and Kyle Busch leaves everyone debating what it means to truly compete for a Daytona 500. The final lap at Daytona International Speedway sparked multiple completely different controversies that say a lot about modern superspeedway racing.

  • Was Riley Herbst’s late block just another split-second Daytona gamble, or did he truly cost Keselowski a legitimate shot at the win?
  • Is Denny Hamlin right to defend his driver publicly, even while admitting the wreck was on Herbst?
  • Did Kyle Busch make a savvy veteran points play by bailing out of the draft on the white flag?
  • Does backing out of the lead pack signal frustration, maybe even a bigger-picture mindset shift?

At superspeedways, instinct rules everything. Herbst reacted late, Keselowski paid the price, and Hamlin backed his guy. Meanwhile, Busch lifted from 25th, avoided the wreck, and gained ten spots, a move that looks smart in hindsight but could have backfired badly. In a new points-heavy format, are drivers thinking differently? We break down both moments, what they really mean, and whether everyone involved might actually have a point. Plus, early Cup Series power rankings to wrap it up.
