- Monday morning, DGM Racing announced that Chastain would drive their No. 91 car this weekend at Martinsville Speedway. Chastain, a Florida native, has a history of racing for the family-owned, Florida-based team in the OAP Series, having done so in 2022 and 2024.
- This outing will be Chastain’s fourth of the season in the OAP Series, with the 33-year-old coming off a 14th-place finish with JR Motorsports this past weekend at Darlington. In fact, DGM is the third team Chastain will race for this season, as he has already completed two of his planned four starts with Jordan Anderson Racing.
- Chastain can do this as, per a rule change this past off-season, NASCAR Cup Series drivers can race in ten total NASCAR OAP Series races, up from five in 2024. While his entire 2026 NASCAR OAP Series schedule is still unknown, Chastain looks like he could be the first Cup Series driver to take advantage of this rule change.
- To his record, Chastian has one career NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series start at Martinsville, a fifth-place finish with Kaulig Racing in 2020. In 14 career Cup Series starts at the track, Chastain has three top-fives, five top-tens, and an average finish of 16.6.
