- Rockingham Speedway in Rockingham, North Carolina, has not hosted a NASCAR National Series race since 2013. That Truck Series race spelled what many thought was the end for a track that hosted the NASCAR Cup Series from 1965 to 2004.
- However, thanks to public support and state financial support, the Rock is back after years of rumors and recent track renovations. NASCAR announced that the Craftsman Truck and Xfinity Series will race at the Rock during Easter Weekend 2025.
- There were rumors that the ARCA Menard’s Series would join those two in Rockingham in 2025. However, there was no announcement. But, ARCA announced today that the ARCA Menard’s Series East, a base-level Development Series, will race at the Rock on Apr. 19.
- Most NASCAR fans are excited for this race weekend, even if it is just a developmental series. Likewise, the announcement from ARCA states that tickets for the Rockingham race weekend go on sale Friday, Nov. 1, at 10 a.m. EST.
