What’s Happening?

Long-time sports car racer and former NASCAR prospect Colin Braun has added a second race to his 2026 NASCAR return with Kaulig Racing.

  • Braun, who made his return to NASCAR earlier this season with Kaulig at the inaugural Craftsman Truck Series race at the St. Petersburg Street Course, will again drive the No. 25 truck next weekend at Lime Rock Park.
  • The Texas native is a multi-time champion in the IMSA SportsCar Championship with 24 wins to his record. Before making his name in sports car racing, the 37-year-old was once a prospect for Roush Fenway Racing.
  • From 2007 to 2010, Braun made starts for the team across the lower two NASCAR National Series, scoring his first win at Michigan in 2009. While he had not raced in NASCAR in over a decade, Braun impressed at St. Petersburg, scoring Kaulig Racing one of the best finishes of their debut Craftsman Truck Series season.
  • Kaulig’s No. 25 truck is used as a rotating seat in their lineup of five trucks, with “free agent” drivers taking the seat from week to week. Braun is one of a handful of drivers to make a return to the sport through the No. 25 this season, alongside names like Tony Stewart, Clint Bowyer, Jamie McMurray, and Ryan Newman, who will return to NASCAR later this month at North Wilkesboro.
