- With 241 laps to go, Brown’s No. 81 came off the nose of Cole Butcher’s No. 28 headed into turn one. The resulting hit into the outside wall at Five Flags Speedway crumpled Brown’s car, with the 17-year-old wheeling back to pit road.
- This crash ultimately ended Brown’s day, with a hefty amount of damage to the body of his late model. Brown started 17th but found his way towards the front of the field in the early stages of the race.
- Though it was not a highlight reel day for the driver, his wreck and the wild amount of body damage to his No. 81 went somewhat viral in the online racing community.
- NASCAR fans likely know brown thanks to the recent announcement of his new role as a developmental driver for Richard Childress Racing. Though he has yet to announce any plans to race with the team in-house next season, many expect brown to make his NASCAR National Series debut in some capacity (likely part-time) next season.
- Brown was a part of a stacked entry list for this year’s annual Snowball Derby, with drivers like Kyle Busch, Ty Majeski, and Bubba Pollard entered into the event. The green flag flew for the 300-lap race on Monday afternoon following poor weather conditions in the area on Sunday.
