- Pohlman saw success in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series with JR Motorsport’s Justin Allgaier, winning a championship in 2024. Still, he never seemed to get his feet under himself with Busch in 2026.
- Through the first ten races of the season, the No. 8 had one top ten finish, which came this past weekend at Talladega. Furthermore, Busch had an average finish of 22.1, a full-time Cup Series career worst for the two-time Champion.
- Per RCR, Pohlman will move from his job as Crew Chief of the No. 8 to a “leadership role within RCR’s competition department.” In his place, Andy Street, who has called the shots for the part-time No. 33 this season, will take over duties.
- This is a familiar spot for Street, as he and Busch worked together late last season after the departure of Crew Chief Randall Burnett. During their five-race stretch together, the two scored one top-five and two top-tens.
