What’s Happening?
RAM Trucks is reportedly considering a reality television or streaming show to determine its driver lineup for the 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season. It’s a bit of an unorthodox route to take when it comes to determining a driver but not completely unheard of.
.@RamTrucks has considered doing a reality show of drivers trying out for a ride with its new @NASCAR program, and @DanaWhite confirmed he could get involved if the project comes to fruition.

➡️ The concept is similar to the old "Roush Racing: Driver X." https://t.co/HGVGeR2hMU
- Years ago, RFK Racing presented a reality-style competition show titled Roush Racing: Driver X. The show premiered in 2005 and ran for two seasons on the Discovery Channel. This project by RAM is being pitched as a similar kind of deal. Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) CEO Dana White also confirmed that he could come aboard as a producer if the project ever comes to fruition.
- The show, similar to Roush Racing: Driver X, would be a competition-style reality show to determine an anchor driver for RAM’s reintroduction into NASCAR. At the time of this reporting, it is unclear what teams will be run under the Dodge banner. However, teams such as GMS Racing and Legacy Motor Club have been speculated to be a part of Dodge’s return to NASCAR.
- It’s also unclear at the moment how many teams RAM intends to field in 2026. It’s safe to say that they are looking for multiple team opportunities so that they can be more competitive on superspeedways.
- Dodge/RAM has been out of NASCAR since the 2012 season. On their way out the door, they won a Cup Series title with then-driver of the Blue Duce for Team Penske, Brad Keselowski.
