Ram Finally Announces Long-Rumored NASCAR TV Show

What’s Happening?

After several months of rumors and speculation, Ram Trucks and Kaulig Racing have finally announced their New reality TV show.

The show, called RAM: Race For the Seat, will feature 15 drivers taking on 10 “challenges” with the winning driver scoring a full-time ride with Kaulig Racing’s new No. 14 truck. The winner will be the fourth full-time driver in Kaulig’s large, five-truck lineup for 2026.

Throughout the show, the 15 drivers will compete at some familiar, non-NASCAR tracks, including South Boston Speedway and the Virginia International Raceway roadcourse.

These tracks were likely chosen due to their non-NASCAR status and NASCAR’s rules around testing, which is also why the drivers are competing in late models, and not NASCAR Trucks.

It’s possible that these late models were familiar ground for the cast of 15 drivers, as a majority of them have made a name for themselves racing on the grassroots level. These drivers reportedly all lived in one house throughout the filming of the show, only adding to the reality nature of this this competition.

Rumors that this show could happen emerged shortly after Ram announced its return to the sport in June at Michigan International Speedway.

One major rumor claimed that UFC CEO Dana White’s Thrill Sports Productions would have a hand in the show’s production, something confirmed by the press release.

The trailer for the show features notable faces from Kaulig and Ram, including Team Owner Matt Kaulig, Team CEO Chris Rice, and Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis.

In the press release, Kuniskis said, “We promised Ram would approach NASCAR differently — and Race For The Seat is proof. Sometimes raw talent isn’t enough. Many successful careers start with an opportunity, a lucky break — or in my case, a good old-fashioned kick in the ass.”

The first episode of Race For The Seat is set to air on FOX on January 25 at 12 PM ET, with the rest of the series available for free on the Ram YouTube Channel, with uploads from January 26 to February 6, and on FS1.
