What’s Happening?
After some time of teasing fans, Spire Motorsports announced via their X account that Rajah Caruth will return to the team in 2025. Caruth is coming off his second full-time season in the series and first with Spire.
- Caruth is the reigning NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Most Popular Driver and one of the best stories of the 2024 NASCAR season. Rajah, who signed with Spire last season, pieced together a solid season and playoff run.
- After a solid start to last season, Rick Hendrick’s HendrickCars.com expanded its part-time sponsorship to a full season. HendrickCars will return in 2025 with another full year of sponsored rides for Rajah.
- Fans should not overlook Hendricks’ support of Caruth both on the hood and in the garage area. This support goes beyond just the short term. Either Rick Hendrick or Jeff Gordon saw Rajah’s talent in his 2023 rookie season with GMS Racing.
- That turned into a one-off race with Hendrick in the Xfinity Series in late 2023. That one start spiraled into Rajah as one of Hendrick and Chevrolet’s top prospects. In a press release from the team, Caruth said, “I’m thankful for everything Mr. and Mrs. Hendrick and all the great people at HendrickCars.com and Hendrick Automotive Group have done for me. I’m super thankful for their support, and I’m ready to put on a show for them next year.”
- Fans of both HMS and Caruth are excited for his future and hopeful for a championship in 2025. While several 2024 Truck Series drivers are heading to Xfinity in 2025, there are still several veterans whom Rajah will battle for that title.
