MATT NIEHAUS

That guy you’ve seen on TikTok talking about cars going right and sometimes left.

Since the waiver rule has started, we’ve seen drivers get waivers for almost anything including suspensions from NASCAR, but it seems as though NASCAR is finally putting their foot down and it comes at the cost of one of NASCAR‘s most popular drivers. Brake Hard is here to break down the possibility of no waiver for Kyle Larson.

  • Even though we’ve seen waivers given out for almost anything, this is the first time a driver has willingly elected not to start a NASCAR race, and given that it’s one of the bigger NASCAR races of the year, is this enough of a reason not to give Kyle Larson a waiver?
  • Kyle Larson didn’t start the 600 because the 500 was delayed. If Larson doesn’t get a waiver, do you think this would stop drivers from attempting the double?
  • We’ve seen waivers given out so much that there’s almost no legitimacy left in the rule. If Larson does get a waiver for willingly not starting a race that would mean that the waiver rule officially means nothing. Should NASCAR and the waiver rule?

Do you think Kyle Larson deserves a waiver? If not, how do you think this would affect other drivers? Let Brake Hard know all of your thoughts and questions in the comment section.
