What’s Happening?

Following their initial change to Ryan Blaney’s pit crew, Team Penske is again changing jackmen for the No. 12 team ahead of this weekend’s race at Kansas Speedway.

  • Thursday, the team announced that they would swap jackmen with Josh Berry’s No. 21. This move would have sent Wood Brothers Racing jackman Patrick Gray to the No. 12, and Penske regular Landon Honeycutt to WBR.
  • Now, this swap is off, with Gray out for this weekend. In his place, Graham Stoddard, who typically does the job for Noah Gragson’s No. 4 team at Front Row Motorsports, will move to the No. 12, and Tommy Bebie, a jackman for the No. 51 team, will move to the No. 4.
  • The initial change was a major shift for the team, as there first few races of 2026 have been less than ideal. Many fans and NASCAR personnel suggested prior to the change that something had to change at the team, as lengthy stops had cost Blaney multiple positions on track in recent races.
  • Despite the statistical shortcomings on pit road, Blaney has had a stellar year on track, racing his way to second in points. With one win compared to four, Blaney is still chasing points leader Tyler Reddick, but is closing the gap race to race.
