What’s Happening?
While the first stage seemed to indicate that Jesse Love was the guy to beat today, it was Justin Allgaier who showed up in Stage 2 to win. Still, the 7 and the 2 raced neck-and-neck to the end of the second stage, including a last lap pass for Allgaier to win the stage. During the pit stops that followed, Allgaier was a bit slow, handing the lead back over to Jesse Love. When the race restarted, Jesse Love rocketed out front before being passed by rookie Brent Crews on Lap 119. From the second position, Jesse Love brought his car down pit road, complaining of an issue with his left rear tire. Reportedly, he had a loose wheel. Meanwhile, Brent Crews continued to extend his lead over Justin Allgaier as Corey Day recovered from his earlier pit road woes to slot into 3rd.
Brent Crews continued to lead through a cycle of green flag pit stops until the field took 19 laps to go. Then the long-run speed of Justin Allgaier’s No. 7 started to come into play as the two battled side-by-side for several laps, snaking their way through lap traffic in tandem. With 15 laps to go, the veteran Allgaier cleared the rookie Crews for the race lead.
Justin Allgaier stretched his lead to just over a half of a second as the field took 10 laps to go. He never looked back. Justin Allgaier continues to add to his impressive resume as one of the greatest drivers ever in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series as he collects his fourth win of the 2026 season. In addition to winning the race, he also won the second stage. It also marks his 32nd career O’Reilly Series win, making him 6th all-time. That places him behind greats like the late Kyle Busch (102), Mark Martin (49), Kevin Harvick (47), Brad Keselowski (39), and Carl Edwards (38).

Race Report:
- Stage 1 belonged to the young phenom and defending series champion, Jesse Love. Love led all 45 of the stage’s laps in dominating fashion, asserting himself as the clear favorite to win tonight. His closest competitor in that opening stage was fellow Chevy driver and Dover winner Corey Day followed by Justin Allgaier. Following the conclusion of the stage, Day lost several spots on pit road and Allgaier emerged as Jesse Love’s staunchest competitor heading into the second stage. This was a costly loss of track position for Day.
- The following drivers earned points in Stage 1: Jesse Love (10), Corey Day (9), Justin Allgaier (8), Austin Hill (7), Carson Kvapil (5), William Sawalisch (4), Ryan Sieg (3), Sammy Smith (2), and Brent Crews (1).
- During the caution at the conclusion of Stage 1, YouTube sensation Cleetus McFarland spun in Turn 4. At the time, he was running 36th, 1-lap down.
- The competition was a little closer in the second stage as Justin Allgaier rocketed out front to snatch the lead away from Jesse Love upon the restart. They settled in that way for a while with Allgaier leading and Love trailing him. As the run ran longer, Love looked like he was the better long-run car as he chased down the 7 to retake the race lead. But Allgaier didn’t take that sitting down. He battled back and in the closing laps of the stage, Love and Allgaier were swapping the lead back and forth like playing hot potato. Allgaier ultimately won the stage after a last lap pass on Love on Lap 90.
- Earning stage points in the second stage were: Justin Allgaier (10), Jesse Love (9), Carson Kvapil (8), William Sawalisch (7), Brent Crews (6), Corey Day (5), Sam Mayer (4), Parker Retzlaff (3), and Ryan Sieg (1).
- Justin Allgaier scores his 4th win of the season. His previous wins of his 2026 campaign were Phoenix, Darlington, and Martinsville. It also marks his third win at Nashville Superspeedway, after winning at the track a year ago.
- This marks JR Motorsports’ 10th win of the 2026 season (winning 10 of 16). It’s their second in a row as Ross Chastain scored the victory last week in Charlotte.
- Winner Justin Allgaier collects the Xfinity Fastest Lap bonus point. This adds 1 point to his race total.
