In the middle of the 2004 NASCAR season, driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. decided to try his hand at a sports car race at Sonoma Raceway. After teaming up with Boris Said and putting in some good laps during qualifying and practice, Jr. was more than ready to take the green flag.
