- Yeley, 48 years old, will drive Spire’s part-time No. 7 truck. So far this season, the No. 7 has two wins, one with Richard Childress Racing’s Kyle Busch and another with Cup Series driver Carson Hocevar, with its drivers scoring an average finish of 12th.
- The NASCAR veteran joins the list of eight drivers who have driven the No. 7, including Hocevar, Busch, and some prospects such as Connor Zilisch. Yeley also joins a group of fan-favorite part-time drivers who raced with Spire in the Truck Series, such as IMSA veteran Jordan Taylor and B.J. McLeod, who drove the team’s now-defunct No. 07.
- If he qualifies for the race, this will be Yeley’s first start in the Craftsman Truck Series since the 2020 season, when he finished 26th with Reaume Brothers Racing. Yeley most recently attempted a Truck Series race at Nashville Superspeedway in 2021, failing to qualify Ray Ciccarelli’s No. 49 truck.
- Although he is known for and continues to race part-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, Yeley has a relatively short history with the Truck Series, having made 36 career starts since 2004. In those 36 starts, the former USAC Triple Crown Champion has finished no lower than ninth at Talladega’s sister track, Daytona.
