What’s Happening?

Bret Holmes Racing, owned by driver Bret Holmes, announced Friday that the team is shutting down immediately. The announcement, made via Facebook, stated that the No. 32 Silverado will not return for the rest of the 2024 season and has no plans to return for the 2025 Truck Series season.

  • From 2021 to 2024, BHR entered 63 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races. In those races, the team fielded names like Ty Dillon, Sam Mayer, and Connor Mosack alongside owner-driver Bret Holmes.
  • This announcement is a shock, as the underdog team has consistently entered NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races since 2021. Despite this announcement, the 27-year-old Holmes plans to continue racing in the Truck Series.
  • Prior to this announcement, Bret Holmes Racing entered all 20 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races this season. Bret is currently 18th in the Truck Series standings, with a best finish of fourth at Daytona.
  • At its height, Bret Holmes Racing won the 2020 ARCA Menards Series Championship. That season, with Holmes behind the wheel, the owner-driver scored one win, 14 top-fives, and 19 top-tens.
