What’s Happening?
NASCAR Cup Series team owner and driver Brad Keselowski recently addressed fan speculation that his team, RFK Racing, could make the switch from Ford to Dodge, saying that RFK Racing is contracted to Ford for years to come.
For those asking- RFK racing has multi year agreement with @fordracing and a commitment from their leadership to return the program to a championship contender.

Any speculation else-wise makes for great internet talk but, it is not based on anything real.
Speculation of RFK Racing’s switch to Dodge initially sparked from an upcoming collaboration between Ram (a fellow Stellantis-owned manufacturer) and Roush Performance.
While Roush Performance and RFK Racing (originally known as Roush Racing) share the name of Jack Roush, the two are separate companies.
Still, the internet ran with this theory throughout the week, and, with rumors that Dodge could propel itself to Cup by 2027, it took off again Thursday afternoon.

What’s Happening? After over a year of speculation and rumors, a new report indicates that Dodge could be on track to…
This new momentum is what led Keselowski to address the speculation in a social media post.
In his post, Keselowski, the last NASCAR Cup Series driver to win a race and championship for Dodge, said:
“RFK racing has a multi-year agreement with @fordracing and a commitment from their leadership to return the program to a championship contender. Any speculation else-wise makes for great internet talk but, it is not based on anything real.”
Though he did not address the rumors of Dodge in particular, given the recent online chatter, it’s no mystery why Keselowski felt the need to make this post.
While this OEM change is off the table for RFK, it does save NASCAR fans from the end of a long-time partnership between a team tied to Ford in NASCAR since 1988.
Another factor that could have made the situation all the more awkward was the impact such a move would have on the sport’s Ford teams, as Roush’s name is also on all Roush-Yates Engines, the sole supplier of Ford engines for NASCAR.
As of press time, Dodge has yet to confirm its return to the sport, as well as what team or teams could make the switch. Still, it’s no secret that Kaulig Racing is the likely future “Tier One” Dodge team in the Cup Series.
