What’s Happening?

NASCAR has suspended a 23XI Racing employee following an incident at Charlotte Motor Speedway this past weekend.

  • Per NASCAR’s weekly Penalty Report, officials have placed 23XI Racing employee Evanna Howell under indefinite suspension. The report cites a “Behavioral” infraction and a violation of Section 4.4A of the NASCAR rulebook as the reason for her suspension.
  • Further details claim that the suspension is the result of an alleged incident this past weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway. As reported by Luke Tucker of WBTV, Howell allegedly assaulted a 77-year-old man with a golf cart.
  • Howell has since been released from custody after posting bond. However, she was charged with Assault With a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, as a police report claimed the alleged incident left the elderly man with “severe lacerations.”
  • Per her LinkedIn profile, Howell joined 23XI during its first full season of operation in late 2021 as an Account Manager. In January 2024, Howell was promoted to Senior Account Manager on the team.
