NASCAR Says No To Saudi’s

With teams possibly saying no to the NASCAR Netflix documentary and Richmond experimenting with different tires. There’s a lot to talk about, so luckily for us, Bologna Burger is here to break down everything happening.

• NASCAR is experimenting with the softer option tire at Richmond this week, just like they did at the NASCAR All-Star race a few months ago. Do you think this is the solution to NASCAR‘s short track problem?
• Many sports leagues worldwide, including motorsports like Formula One, have benefited from Saudi Arabia’s financial investment. However, in the charter agreement, NASCAR has included a rule that would ban sovereign wealth funds. Do you think this is a good move for the sport?
• Last year, the NASCAR Netflix documentary NASCAR Full Speed was a stunning success, much in part due to the access that was given to it by the teams themselves. However, due to the charter agreements, teams may decline to participate in the documentary. Do you think the show will do as well as it did last year if this happens?
