What’s Happening?

NASCAR has confirmed that O’Reilly Auto Parts will replace Xfinity as the title sponsor for NASCAR’s secondary series in 2026.

  • The chain of auto parts and accessories will take over the sponsorship on Jan. 1, 2026, ending Xfinity’s role as title sponsor that began in 2015. The press release from NASCAR also states that the sponsorship is “multi-dimensional” and “includes promotional opportunities and brand integrations in partnership with The CW Network.”
  • Rumors of Xfinity’s departure first swirled in late 2024, and a report in February claimed that they would officially end their sponsorship at year’s end. However, Xfinity will remain a premier partner of NASCAR’s Cup Series and continue its title sponsorship of the Xfinity Fastest Lap Award.
  • With their new role, O’Reilly, a longtime sponsor of NASCAR, becomes the fourth different company and fifth different title sponsor of the secondary National Series. Budweiser presented the series in 1982 and 1983, with Busch taking on duties from 1984 to 2007. Nationwide Insurance carried the load from 2008 to 2014, before Xfinity took over in 2015.
  • This is also the fourth time one of NASCAR’s three National Series has had a change in title sponsorship since 2020. In 2020, the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series transitioned to just the Cup Series, and in 2021, the Gander Outdoors Truck Series switched to the Camping World Truck Series, which eventually became the Craftsman Truck Series in 2023.
