- This partnership will not affect the Cup or Xfinity Series, which will have their races broadcasted under NASCAR’s traditional track-based method. This method sees the two series’ races broadcast on PRN at SMI-owned or leased tracks and MRN at NASCAR-owned or leased tracks.
- This change will, however, allow each race weekend to be more consistent. Prior to the partnership, the Triuck Series was broadcast on MRN at all tracks, even those owned by SMI. The two parties debuted this new network at Daytona this past weekend without a formal announcement.
- According to Motor Racing Network President Chris Schwartz, “The NASCAR Racing Network builds on each other’s strengths and creates a new path for us to elevate the NASCAR Radio landscape for fans and stakeholders of the sport.”
- There are some details about streaming and broadcast locations that are still unanswered. However, races will likely still be broadcast as usual on SiriusXM, alongside live streams on the NASCAR website and App.
