What’s Happening?

During the latest episode of Ram Truck’s NASCAR TV Show, RAM: Race for the Seat, NASCAR fans were surprised to see an appearance from late NASCAR legend Greg Biffle, filmed prior to his passing.

Nearly two months ago, the NASCAR community was rocked when a plane crashed at Statesville Regional Airport, killing all seven passengers on board, including former NASCAR Craftsman Truck and Busch Series champion Greg Biffle and his family.

In the aftermath of his passing, the NASCAR community has come together in many different ways to remember Biffle and his family.

These tributes have included memorial services, YouTube videos, memorial stickers, and even a few special paint schemes carrying the unique font of his iconic Roush-Fenway Racing No. 16 during the Daytona 500.

Surprisingly, these touching tributes are extending into the newest episode of Ram Trucks’ and Kaulig Racing’s new NASCAR reality game show, RAM: Race for the Seat.

This show pits 15 short track racers head-to-head for a shot at driving Kaulig Racing’s No. 14 truck during the 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

Though the show had filmed in November, prior to Biffle’s passing, the producers had managed to keep quiet a major episode featuring the 19-time Cup Series winner.

During episode six of the show, released Monday night, the episode opened with a tribute screen to Biffle, though Biff’s inclusion did not stop there, as later in the episode, he gave the show’s contestants a tour of the NASCAR Hall of Fame in downtown Charlotte, North Carolina, alongside some career advice.

Biffle’s appearance, as expected, brought out some emotions from the NASCAR community, with many fans’ thoughts turning to the late driver.

Most agreed that the former champion’s career advice in the episode was invaluable to these drivers, though many are also pointing out just how much the Race for the Seat drivers can learn from Biffle’s actions both on and off the track.

Regardless of who wins the show or how they do during the Truck Series season, it seems that this episode gave some fans one more chance to reflect on the legacy of one of NASCAR’s most accomplished National Series drivers, much like YouTube user @TCade9 said in the episode’s comments section:

“Forget a great racer. Biff was one of the best people on this earth. He hung out with my family in the infield at Atlanta and Talladega several times. Just a normal guy who was a great stock car driver. You will be missed but not forgotten.”

While the show has yet to conclude, Kaulig Racing, which now owns the No. 16 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck and Cup Series, is one of the teams paying tribute to Biffle in the 2026 Daytona 500, with A.J. Allmendinger’s car sporting the yellow stylized No. 16.
