What’s Happening?

- The NASCAR Cup Series garnered 2.560 million viewers Sunday afternoon, 21% more than Formula One’s 2.100 million viewers. This matchup also saw a major shift for F1, as the open wheel series lost a million viewers year-over-year for the race in Miami, which had 3.100 million viewers in 2024.
- Another notable factor in this matchup was Formula One’s spot on network television with ABC. Theoretically, this would make the Miami Grand Prix more available to viewers than NASCAR’s spot on cable’s FS1. However, NASCAR had a big day on FOX’s secondary network.
- This race, at Texas Motor Speedway, was the second-highest on FS1 through seven races this season. The only track TMS did not beat out was week five at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which scored 3.011 million viewers.
- This Sunday was also a major bump for Texas Motor Speedway as a whole. While the track boasted its highest attendance in 15 years, NASCAR earned 0.250 million, or 10%, more viewers than the track’s 2024 race, which had 2.310 million viewers on FS1.
