What’s Happening?
Christian Rose, who planned to race full-time for Niece Motorsports in 2025, will not be in the No. 44 this weekend and in the foreseeable future. Part-time and former full-time Niece driver Bayley Currey will drive the truck at Daytona.

- The team is citing “unforeseen sponsorship changes” as the reason for the move. In a press release from Niece Motorsports, the team’s General Manager, Cody Efaw, stated they would like to see Rose back “once funding is secured on his end.”
- Rose was a candidate for Rookie of the Year in one of the most competitive classes in recent years. This season would not only have been his first full season in trucks but his first time racing in trucks since his part-time 2023 season.
- Rose made back-to-back full-season ARCA efforts in 2023 and 2024. He compiled five top-fives and 23 top-tens in those two seasons with AM Racing. In 48 career ARCA starts, Rose finished no better than 3rd.
- Currey taking the No. 44 is a full-circle moment for the driver who raced full-time with Niece last season. Despite putting together solid part-time runs with the team in recent years, 2024 was a difficult season for Currey, resulting in him losing his full-time ride.
- Currey already planned to race part-time with Niece in the No. 41 this season. However, it does not appear he will be in the No. 44 full-time.
