The NASCAR Cup Series finished their West Coast trip by heading to Phoenix last weekend. Unfortunately, a new short-track package did not impress the drivers. Brakehard breaks down why drivers feel the new package is WORSE.

  • NASCAR decided to implement a simplified diffuser and a new spoiler for this race. Goodyear also brought a new tire hoping to improve the product.
  • Drivers are not sold on the package. Many drivers said it was worse, and others said they felt no difference. Brakehard looks at every major driver comment he could find.
  • The popular solution is to add more horsepower. Will it actually happen?

What else can and will NASCAR do to improve the racing on short tracks? Is it time to finally bump the horsepower? Let Brakehard know in the comments, and be sure to subscribe so you do not miss the latest NASCAR content.
