What’s Happening?
NASCAR rolls into Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend for the 2nd race of the 36-race season. The Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Truck Series all are in action this weekend, and this is how NASCAR fans can keep up with all of it.
- Atlanta Motor Speedway is one of the oldest and most iconic race tracks in NASCAR. It is a 1.54-mile race track with 28 degrees of banking. As a result, it races similar to a mini superspeedway like Daytona or Talladega.
- This will also be one of three weekends where the Xfinity and Truck Series will make up a doubleheader on the same day. COTA and Homestead-Miami are the other two.
- Fans are excited for the second race of the season. While there is not the glitz and glamour of Daytona, NASCAR is now back for good.

What to Watch For This Weekend
Truck Series
In 2023, Christian Eckes took home his first career win after a chaotic race featuring 11 caution flags. Corey Heim is the only other driver to win at this race track in the current configuration, and he will compete in the event as well.
Xfinity Series
Austin Hill took home the victory in the spring race at Atlanta last season, after leading 103 laps. Hill also won at Atlanta in the summer of 2022. This race in 2023 was also chaotic in the Xfinity Series with 12 caution flags in the 163 lap event.
Cup Series
Joey Logano dominated in the spring at Atlanta in 2023, leading 140 of the 260 laps. However, that win came in a dogfight over the final laps with former teammate Brad Keselowski. It will be interesting to see if the Fords continue to dominate at Atlanta this season.
