What’s Happening?
The latest update for iRacing’s NASCAR 25 console game not only included some gameplay tweaks but also free content for all players.
Every Patch and Hotfix Released for iRacing’s NASCAR 25 Console Game (So Far)
What’s Happening? iRacing released the latest NASCAR console game, NASCAR 25, on October 14. However, like many games, NASCAR 25 will…
NASCAR 25 has been out for almost two months now, but, as most players know, the game has needed a handful of updates since its early access launch.
Though many of these updates are minor patches, some have offered major overhauls to issues players were experiencing, such as bugs that broke NASCAR rules, some that broke the game, and others that would wipe out save data.
These updates have slowed as of recent; however, on Monday, the team at NASCAR 25 released a new patch, perhaps the biggest in the game’s short history.
The Fixes
Hey, drivers!! We just send out a BIG patch that should now be live on all platforms! 🔧

Here are your patch notes:
– Improved pit road exit speeds
– 3 new Kyle Larson paint schemes
– Fix for Championship mode winner winning the championship even if not in the final four
-…
Before the fun parts, let’s look at the business end of this patch.
Per the usual, the update includes some fixes to minor issues, which, for the most part, will have an effect on both user experience and gameplay.
These include an adjustment to pit road exit speeds (though it is unclear what the issue with the timing was beyond the unrealistic length of pit stops in the game), a tweak to the AI Incident slider, and another update to driver ratings.
On that last note, this is the second overhaul to driver ratings, and, with the 2025 season in the books, perhaps the last.
They also worked on some online issues, such as AI drivers syncing up, server connection issues when loading tracks, and an issue with the countdown time in private lobbies.
Finally, there were two major fixes to the game.
First, the development team fixed a bug where shapes were disappearing for users in the paint booth, something that has been reported since the game’s launch, and a fix to the playoffs, where a non-championship four driver would win the championship.
New Content
There isn’t much to say about the new content added to the game, though; that’s not all bad, as it features three new paint-free paint schemes.
These paint schemes are all focused on the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series Champion, Kyle Larson, and include the game’s first-ever playoff-specific paint scheme.

Valvoline Champion 2X (No Roof Number, NASCAR Cup Series Champion Logo)

In a fun twist, the development team also added the Goodyear blimp to events. Though this counts as free and new content, this update has seen some pushback from the fanbase, with many players focused on one key problem with the game still left unaddressed.
Since the game’s console release in October, it seems like every player has had issues with the ultra-strict and very unrealistic (at least by NASCAR Standards) track limits at Road Courses. Though fans are hoping for a fix, this update, like all of those before it, did not address this key problem.
