McAnally-Hilgemann Racing announced that Mongoose Bicycles and the USA BMX Foundation will partner with Jack Wood in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) race at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) on Thursday, September 19th. Wood will pilot the No. 91 Mongoose / USA BMX Foundation Chevrolet Silverado RST and will be joined by United States Olympian BMX racer Cam Wood at “The Last Great Colosseum”.

The NCTS’ return to BMS will mark Jack Wood’s third start at the “World’s Fastest Half Mile”, and the first visit for Cam Wood to “Thunder Valley”. The 22-year-old BMX competitor recently represented the United States in the Paris Summer Olympics and will join Jack Wood and the MHR team prior to raceday. The Olympian and 2023 Pan American Games silver medalist will visit Statesville, N.C. prior to the race to show off his BMX skills in front of the MHR team and the No. 91 Mongoose / USA BMX Foundation Chevrolet.

Both Jack and Cam Wood will visit Avoca Elementary School in Bristol, Tenn. on Wednesday, September 18th to speak to students and make a bike donation to the school. As part of the USA BMX Foundation’s STEM program to educate students, the school will receive five bikes with helmets, bike computers, bike tools, and a six-module STEM course to incorporate into the school’s curriculum. During the assembly, Jack and Cam Wood will build a bike for students and teach them about the healthy lifestyle habits, work-ethic, and training disciplines that both BMX and motorsports disciplines require.

“This is so cool to be a part of, along with Mongoose and to have Cam (Wood) join us at Bristol,” Jack Wood said. “He’s an incredible athlete and his sport requires full commitment, just like what we do on the racetrack. It’s great to have Mongoose along with us, and it makes it more fun to be able to visit kids in the Bristol community too. Hopefully we can make some new NASCAR and BMX fans while we’re at it.”
