Lionel Finally Confirms Long-Awaited Carson Hocevar Diecast

What’s Happening?

Lionel Racing has officially launched pre-orders for Carson Hocevar’s Chili’s Throwback tribute to Dale Earnhardt Sr.

• Hocevar ran this special throwback to Earnhardt’s 1981 Wrangler car at Darlington in April. However, since that race, fans have asked when, or if, a diecast of the paint scheme would be produced.
• That wait is now over: on Wednesday afternoon, Lionel shared that pre-orders are open on their website. The car comes in both 1:64 and 1:24 scale with eight total different options.
• Those options include base and Color Chrome finishes for the 1:24 scale ARC diecasts, as well as multiple options for the finish on the ELITE and ELITE Premier 1:24 scale diecasts.
• While diecast with these options at times do not meet minimum order quantities, Hocevar is on a good run of meeting them. Per Lionel, his race-winning diecast from Talladega quickly reached MOQ across all 10 versions available.
