What’s Happening?
Kyle Larson dominated at Kansas, and yet again, many fans were underwhelmed by the on-track product delivered by the Next Gen car. But was it all that bad? Despite the lack of battles up front, the race still left much to discuss. Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin, Josh Berry… all had cars capable of challenging Larson, but all of them ran into trouble and were put out of contention. Watch this episode of the Groovy Gauge, presented by Lectric eBikes, and find out what Eric Estepp thought of all these issues, and what grade he gave to the overall race.
Groovy Gauge Score: 70%
- Eric believes that, despite lack of racing for the lead, the track had multiple grooves and was still entertaining 2nd on back.
- He thinks it was a “Pretty good overall race,” even with the Larson domination.
- He does not think Kansas Speedway is the problem, and acknowledges the Next Gen car’s aero issues.
