What’s Happening?
Kaden Honeycutt has finally earned a full-time ride in the NASCAR Craftsman Series. The Texas native and his part-time team, Niece Motorsports, are going full-time in the No. 45 next season.
- Kaden Honeycutt is a 21-year-old standout driver in multiple U.S. racing series. This season with Niece Motorsports, Honeycutt has two top-fives and five top-tens in ten starts. Honeycutt first teamed up with Niece in 2023 on a one-race deal at Pocono. Notably, Honeycutt is known for his use of iRacing as a platform for his development.
- Honeycutt’s full-time ride comes after a season in which he raced perhaps the most diverse schedule in stock car racing. This schedule included starts in the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series, ARCA Menards Series, ZMAX CARS Tour, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and NASCAR Xfinity Series.
- Niece Motorsports is one of Chevrolet’s premier NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series teams. Last season, Niece won four races with Carson Hocevar, the most in a single season since opening their doors in 2016. However, this season, the team has just one win from NASCAR Cup Series regular Ross Chastain. Hopefully, a driver like Honeycutt will bring a new life into the team in the long term.
In a press release from the team, owner Al Niece expressed his hope for the future with the talented young driver:
“With Kaden’s talent and our team’s hard work, we expect to be contenting for wins and championships next year. He’s a true racer, and I think that he has the tools to make a great career in the sport. I’m looking forward to see what he’ll be able to accomplish.” — Al Niece, Owner, Niece Motorsports
