Judge Kenneth D. Bell has reprimanded NASCAR’s legal team following two violations of court orders during the cross-examination of team owner Bob Jenkins on Wednesday afternoon.
Day three of the trial between 23XI Racing/Front Row Motorsports on Wednesday was slightly heated. Per reports, Judge Kenneth D. Bell, who many have recognized for a no-nonsense attitude regarding the trial, scolded NASCAR’s legal team for violating court orders.
NASCAR allegedly violated two orders from the court during its cross-examination of Front Row Motorsports team owner Bob Jenkins.
The first violation saw NASCAR’s legal counsel ask Jenkins about his business outside of NASCAR, something that he had agreed not to discuss in court. The second violation saw NASCAR disclose a text message from Spire Motorsports co-owner Jeff Dickerson, despite its status as inadmissible evidence.
Per Adam Stern of Sport Business Journal, NASCAR asked Jenkins, who many fans know is a franchisee of brands like KFC and Long John Silvers, if his outside jobs, if his non-NASCAR business, are his day job, and if FRM is truly working to turn a profit with him often away from the team’s shop and the racetrack.
The court did not penalize NASCAR’s legal team from New York-based firm Latham & Watkins, but instead, Judge Bell warned of “significant consequences” should these actions continue.
Wednesday’s session opened with testimony from NASCAR official Scott Prime, who first took the stand Tuesday afternoon following testimony and cross-examination from Denny Hamlin.

On February 17, Ubisoft released a trailer that confirmed that NASCAR would be included in The Crew Motorfest’s next season update. Details were limited at the time, but in a press release issued today, Ubisoft revealed the full details of the update ahead of its March 4 launch.
Ubisoft says drafting will affect car speed and help save fuel, implying that drafting will be a huge factor in the game, at least with these cars. You can check out this and much more on Ubisoft’s official post linked below
Earlier this Tuesday, the official The Crew Motorfest account clarified confusion around the NASCAR bundles. The Crew Credit (CC) bundles only include cosmetic team liveries, not additional cars. The 3 base Next Gen cars (Ford Mustang Dark Horse, Toyota Camry XSE, and Chevrolet ZL1) are part of the free Season 9 update and can be purchased separately.
