What’s Happening?
NASCAR veteran Josh Bilicki and DGM Racing will reunite on a part-time basis in 2025. Bilicki made 17 starts in the 2024 Xfinity Series season, scoring a best finish of eighth.
- Bilicki’s first race with DGM in 2025 will be the Xfinity Series season opener at Daytona in February. Josh will drive the team’s No. 91; he only made two starts in the car last season, as the majority of his races were in the team’s No. 92.
- That No. 92 may be no more as DGM is fielding a new car number, the No. 70, in 2025. While this is technically a new number, DGM owner Mario Gosselin and the team’s new driver, Ryan Ellis, both have a history with the number.
- His season-best eighth-place finish in 2024 came at the Charlotte Roval. However, it was not with DGM; it was a one-off with Joe Gibbs Racing. Bilicki has a knack for road course racing, and perhaps his schedule, which a press release from DGM claims makes up “the bulk of the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule,” will feature several road courses.
This term bulk does bring to mind the potential for Bilicki to race in more than the 15 races he entered with DGM in 2024. Bilicki is a true journeyman driver with 219 starts in all three NASCAR National Series over the past nine seasons. In 2018, the journeyman driver set a career-high of 29 Xfinity Series races in a single season.
It is unlikely that he will have 29 or more starts with the team this season. However, the consistency this ride will offer could be good for the veteran driver.
DGM Racing Entering a Familiar Number for Their New Driver
What’s Happening? Oddly, following their signing of Ryan Ellis, DGM Racing did not announce a car number for their new driver….
