What’s Happening?

NASCAR Legend Jeff Gordon is getting back behind the wheel of an IROC car next weekend at the Heritage Invitational at the Ten Tenths Motor Club at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

  • The Heritage Invitational is a two-day event at the Ten Tenths Motor Club in Concord, North Carolina. This year, alongside Vintage IndyCar racing, the event’s day one activities on April 10 will feature on-track action from vintage IROC cars, with Gordon included in the lineup of IROC alums.
  • IROC, the International Race of Champions, was a spec racing series that operated from 1973 to 2006, putting on a handful of all-star races throughout the season. In the years since its closure, former NASCAR team owner and crew Chief Ray Evernham has purchased the branding and several of the series former cars.
  • Gordon joins a long list of IROC and NASCAR alums taking part in the weekend’s festivities. This list includes Hall of Famers like Bill Elliott, Bobby Labonte, Mark Martin, and Kurt Busch, alongside former drivers like Scott Pruett and Ken Schrader.
  • Per the Heritage Invitational website, the IROC event is scheduled to begin at 4:10 PM ET on Friday, April 10. There are several ticket options available for those interested in attending.
