What’s Happening?

On Jan. 29, NASCAR will launch a free streaming channel on Tubi. While this channel will not broadcast any live National Series races, it will have a massive catalog of historical and exclusive content available. So, here’s what you need to know about NASCAR’s new Channel and how to watch it.

What’s Tubi?

Tubi is a free streaming platform with a catalog of on-demand content and streaming channels. These channels are not the typical cable channels; they consist of news, sports replays, and syndicated TV shows.

Several major sports leagues, such as the MLB, NBA, and NFL, utilize Tubi and other free streaming platforms, such as PLUTO TV, to air their catalog of content.

Tubi is owned by Fox Corporation, which is already one of NASCAR’s broadcast partners via FOX Sports. The addition of the NASCAR Channel makes FOX the final TV partner that has some form of NASCAR streaming-related content.

How do You Watch the NASCAR Channel on Tubi?

Tubi is relatively easy to watch. For channels such as the NASCAR Channel, you do not need to create an account, which means you can watch the NASCAR Channel for free. So, how do you find the NASCAR Channel when it launches on Jan. 29?

Tubi is available on Smart TVs, Smart Phones, and via their website. To watch their live channels, such as the NASCAR Channel, from the website homepage, you click “Live TV” and scroll until you find the NASCAR Channel.

What’s the NASCAR Channel?

NASCAR is going streaming in 2025. Of course, that’s not for all races or coverage; however, the new season brings a flurry of changes and additional NASCAR coverage via streaming options.

On the racing side, NASCAR will have practice, qualifying, and race coverage on MAX and Prime Video. However, NASCAR will also supply a free streaming option for non-racing content via Tubi.

This content will be via a FAST, or Free Ad-Supported Television Channel through the Tubi App or website. According to NASCAR, this channel will feature “classic races, re-airs of this season’s events, documentaries, NASCAR Studios original content, and video podcasts.” The channel is not a true TV Channel but a streaming channel.

This channel will emphasize historical content, meaning 2025 races will not air live. However, two early must-watch events on the channel will be its live coverage of the 2025 Cook Out Madhouse Classic Modified race on February 1 and the NASCAR Hall of Fame Ceremony on February 7.

Chris Gabehart Responds to JGR’s Lawsuit

What’s Happening?

Chris Gabehart has responded to Joe Gibbs Racing’s lawsuit, strongly denying the allegations and calling the claims “false,” “frivolous,” and “retaliatory” in a public statement released this Friday.

After the lawsuit became public, on Thursday, Gabehart spoke out for the first time, stating that he did not share any confidential JGR information with Spire Motorsports or any third parties and that he intends to prove that in court. He also said a third-party forensic review of his personal devices found no evidence supporting the accusations, adding that JGR declined an offer to examine Spire’s systems before filing suit.

“Yesterday afternoon, Joe Gibbs Racing filed a lawsuit claiming — falsely — that I shared JGR confidential information with Spire Motorsports and/or other unnamed third parties… I feel compelled to speak out today and forcefully and emphatically deny these frivolous and retaliatory claims.”

Gabehart said he will address the matter further in a formal legal response in the coming days.

What Happens if it Rains at Atlanta This Weekend?

What’s Happening?

Weather could play a major role in the NASCAR weekend at EchoPark Speedway, with current forecasts calling for a 40% chance of rain Saturday afternoon and increasing to 55% in the evening. While conditions are expected to improve, contingency plans are already in place in case races cannot be completed as scheduled

If Saturday Goes as Planned
  • All scheduled events run normally across the NASCAR Truck Series, O’Reilly Series, and Cup Series
  • No changes to Sunday’s schedule
If One Saturday Race Is Postponed
  • The delayed race would move to Sunday morning
  • It would run before the Cup Series race
  • Other races remain in their original slots
If Both Saturday Races Are Postponed
  • Sunday becomes a tripleheader, with the expected running order being: 1. O’Reilly Series, 2. Cup Series, 3. Truck Series
  • Schedule subject to change depending on conditions

NASCAR has not announced any official schedule changes yet, as decisions will be based on how conditions develop in real time. With rain chances increasing through Saturday afternoon and evening, teams are preparing for multiple outcomes, and Sunday is expected to serve as the primary backup window if events can’t be completed as planned.

Conditions are constantly being monitored, but fans should be prepared for possible schedule adjustments throughout the weekend. We’ll keep you updated throughout the race weekend here on The Daily Downforce
