What’s Happening?
Cleetus McFarland’s next stop is Michigan International Speedway for a double-duty weekend, with starts lined up in both the ARCA Menards Series and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series on the two-mile oval. While plans for his third NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series outing remain under wraps, his schedule at Michigan is already locked in for two national-series events.
Cleetus McFarland’s 2026 NASCAR Racing Schedule
What’s Happening? Despite his internet fame, Garrett Mitchell, by his screen name Cleetus McFarland, has recently taken to stock car racing…
McFarland, whose real name is Garrett Mitchell, has one NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start under his belt so far. However, that outing ended in 37th place after trouble struck almost as soon as the race got underway. Just six laps into the event, he lost control exiting Turn 4 and slammed into the inside wall after becoming involved in an incident that cut his day short.
Now, the YouTuber-turned-racer will climb back into a Truck Series machine when the series heads to Michigan International Speedway on June 6. For that event, Mitchell will drive the No. 4 Chevrolet fielded by Niece Motorsports.
Besides that, Mitchell is also entered in Friday’s Henry Ford Health 200 at Michigan International Speedway.
The duo of Garrett Mitchell and George Siciliano will once again join Rette Jones Racing for the event. Mitchell’s most recent ARCA Menards Series appearance at Talladega Superspeedway came within touching distance of Victory Lane.
He finished second after leading 19 laps and nearly stole the show. Michigan, however, is cut from a different cloth than Talladega. The characteristics of the speedway bear little resemblance to the draft-heavy nature of superspeedway racing, meaning Mitchell will need to draw from every lesson gathered so far if he hopes to piece together another front-running performance.
Through three ARCA Menards Series starts this season, Mitchell has recorded one top-five finish. Looking at the broader picture, he has now made seven starts in the series, including four appearances during the previous campaign. Across those seven races, he has collected two top-10 finishes.
For fans planning to follow Mitchell from the first laps of practice through the fall of the checkered flag, Michigan will be another track in his transition from internet fame and tire smoke to the demands of national-series stock car racing.
