Four NASCAR drivers competed in the 2025 24 Hours of Daytona. Here is how they faired in the prestigious event.

  • Roger Penske’s No. 7 Porsche Penske was first overall. Felipe Nasr, Nicky Tandy, and Laurens Vanthoor drove the Porsche 963 to victory.
  • Trackhouse by TF Sport drove the No. 91 Corvette, with NASCAR drivers Shane Van Gisbergen and Connor Zilisch, raced very well. Zilisch was the most impressive driver on the team.
  • Austin Cindric raced the No. 64 Ford Mustang GT3 with Ford Mulitmatic Motorsports, and Parker Kligerman drove the No. 78 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 for Forte Racing.

Trackhouse by TF Sport

The No. 91 placed 9th out of 15 cars in GTD Pro(25th overall). The team’s best lap was 1:47.430 on lap 507 of 722. Zilisch drove to 3rd in class but spun out, heading into turn one with an hour to go, and received a penalty for incident responsibility, effectively ending their chance at a podium finish.

Zilisch, who won the 24 Hours in LMP2 last year, opened the 24 Hours with the first stint, got back in the car for sunset, and ended the race with a triple stint. Despite spinning out, Zilisch was the fastest and best driver on the team. SVG drove the team’s second stint and raced for several hours at night.

Scott McLaughlin was also part of the No. 91 team. SVG and McLaughlin’s history goes back to their Australian Supercar days, so having the two on the same team for a 24-hour race was a treat for fans.

Austin Cindric and Parker KIigerman

Cindric’s 64 car performed very well in the race. It placed third in GTD Pro, while the No. 64’s sister car, the No. 65 Mustang, took first place in GTD Pro. The 64 team completed 723 laps, and its best lap time was 1:50.010.

Parker Kligerman’s No. 78 Lamborghini was one of the best cars in GTD and led many laps, but after Kligerman’s stint, the 78 crashed, going into turn one on a restart. Kligerman joined the broadcast booth and gave some awesome insight into the race. His car would return to the grid later on, but Kligerman’s day was done.

Penske

Roger Penske’s No. 7 Porsche took the overall victory for the second straight year. Nasr and company contended for the race the entire way and was the sharpest car on the grid.

The No. 7 battled with its sister car, the No. 6, and gave fans several exhilarating moments. The No. 6 ended up third overall.
