- According to SPS, Gallagher will race the No. 24 at Rockingham and the No. 23 at Talladega, Kansas, and Charlotte. The race at Rockingham, a part of the ARCA Menards Series East, will be his first race in the series since 2012 and his first ARCA-sanctioned race since 2014.
- Gallagher stated in a press release from SPS, “I couldn’t be more excited to return to the ARCA Menards Series—a place where I cut my teeth as a young driver and achieved my first national-level successes. Teaming up with a competitive organization like SPS gives me tremendous confidence in what we can accomplish together.”
- The 35-year-old last raced in NASCAR in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2018. During that part-time season, the then 28-year-old won at Talladega and made his lone Cup Series start with BK Racing at Watkins Glen.
- Gallagher made his name in the lower NASCAR National Series racing with his family-owned team, GMS Racing, owned by his father, Maury Gallagher, the former CEO of Allegiant Air.
- While Spencer would win one race for GMS, the team would go on to have success with other drivers, winning 45 Truck Series races and two championships prior to the teams’ closure at the end of the 2023 season.
