What’s Happening?
Recently, former eNASCAR champion Parker White reached a breaking point after a race incident that, in his view, summed up what he felt was wrong with the world of professional sim racing right now, sharing his thoughts on social media late Tuesday night.
Especially with all the stuff going on behind the scenes I just have no more motivation to do this. Sim racing is clearly at the lowest point it’s ever been and it’s not going to get any better.

The world of amateur Sim Racing has seen quite a bit of discussion about the quality of competition as of late. But it seems even eNASCAR drivers can also feel that the quality of Sim racing has deteriorated.
This sentiment came pouring out from former eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series Champion Parker White, who took to X to lay bare his frustrations after a late race wreck in Tuesday night’s race at Dover Motor Speedway.
White explained in his post that he invested extra time preparing for the event because he was trying to revive a struggling season. Late in the race, things appeared to be going according to plan.
Running third with just five laps to go, white was in position for a strong finish that could have helped turn his campaign around. Instead, his race ended when he was taken out as part of a crash between race leader Bobby Zalenski and second-place driver Steven Wilson.
The crash itself was frustrating enough, and White’s post suggested it was the final straw, making it clear that the disappointment went beyond the loss of a good result.
He openly questioned whether he even wanted to continue competing, saying he had little desire to keep doing something that no longer felt worthwhile, saying, “Not sure what I’m going to do now, but I really don’t want to do this.”
What really fueled the discussion, however, was his follow-up post in which he revealed that there were additional issues happening “behind the scenes” that fans may not be aware of, adding, “Especially with all the stuff going on behind the scenes I just have no more motivation to do this. Sim racing is clearly at the lowest point it’s ever been and it’s not going to get any better.”
While he didn’t specify exactly what those issues were, he suggested they had already drained much of his motivation before the race-ending crash ever happened.
As a former champion of the series, White has seen the growth of eNASCAR and sim racing over many years. But now he believes the scene is facing deeper problems than isolated on-track incidents.
Whether those concerns involve driver behavior, team politics, declining opportunities, sponsorship challenges, competitive integrity, participation levels, or organizational issues remains unclear, but he definitely indicated a loss of faith in the direction the sport is heading, especially with respect to Sim Racing.
