What’s Happening?
Team AmeriVet, formerly known as The Money Team, plans to race for a half-season next year in the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season. The team’s most recent Cup Series race was in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May.
- In Team AmeriVet’s one race in 2025, Ty Dillon finished 36th at Charlotte in the No. 50 car. Since then, there has been little news about the team’s future apart from the announcement of their “50 Vets a Week” program on Oct. 15.
- A report from Samuel Stubbs of YardBarker detailed the team’s plans to race in at least 15 races in 2025. This will be in an uncharted or “open car.” This means they will have to qualify for the four open spots week in and week out.
- Willy and Becky Auchmoody own Team AmeriVet. Previously known as The Money Team Racing, it switched to the name AmeriVet earlier this year. When the team rebranded on May 21, it appeared that it would no longer be associated with boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his “The Money Team” branding.
- Under the TMT Racing name, the No. 50 entered six races and two Daytona 500s with Kaz Grala and Conor Daly. The TMT car struggled on track, finishing no higher than 23rd in its short lifetime. However, the car’s flashy Pit Viper and BitNile.com paint schemes caught the eyes of fans in those handful of races.
