What’s Happening?
The 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season opener on FS1 pulled less than one million viewers for the first time since the 2018 race. The 0.990 million viewers followed up a three-year high of 1.057 million viewers in 2024.
NASCAR on the CW Draws Massive Audience in 2025 Debut
What’s Happening? NASCAR on the CW drew a massive 1.8 million viewers for Saturday Night’s Xfinity Series season opener from Daytona….
- The 2025 Fresh From Florida 250 had a 0.067 (-6.339%) million drop off in viewership from the 2024 race. The last time the race fell below one million viewers was the 2018 iteration, which drew 0.936 million viewers, a 28.767% dip in viewership from 2017.
- The season-opening race had slowly 1.016 million viewers tuned in for the 2022 race. There is no direct reason for this drop-off. The race was not affected by the weather, but the Valentine’s Day holiday or NBA All-Star festivities could have factored into this.
- It is by far the low point of Speedweeks viewership. The Duels pulled in 1.836 million (+0.196), the Xfinity Series race had 1.800 million (+0.867), and the 500 had 6.761 million viewers (+0.797).
- Notably, the ARCA Menard Series race had 1.160 million, its highest number since 2013. While this race was on FOX rather than FS1, YouTuber Garrett Mitchell’s entry (aka Cleetus McFarland) could have factored into this boost as well.
- However, the Trucks had a celebrity of their own: actor-turned-driver Frankie Muniz, who scored a top-ten finish in the first race of his rookie season.
