What’s Happening?

Ahead of next weekend’s race at San Diego’s Naval Base Coronado, iRacing users can now race on a digital version of the street circuit.

Initially, iRacing announced the addition of this new track with the 2026 Season Three update, and now the track will be available to users of their self-titled subscription-based online racing sim.

The track, officially known as Qualcomm Circuit, has 16 turns and is 3.4 miles long, taking drivers around Naval Base Coronado.

In fact, iRacing played a role in the development of the track, assisting NASCAR during the design stages.

While the version of the track coming to the game features all the physical real-world attributes of the track, it also has the aesthetic features touted by NASCAR in marketing for next weekend’s race.

As featured in the trailer, the final iRacing render of the track has models of Navy helicopters and aircraft carriers.

Still, the question some fans online are now asking is if this is the render of the track that iRacing could use in the next iteration of its NASCAR console game.

While that is possible, given the use of iRacing scans in NASCAR 25, the studio has yet to confirm such plans or make any formal announcements about the next game.
